We are becoming overwhelmingly dependent on computers. Is this dependence on computers a good thing or should we be more suspicious of their benefits?
Since human beings existed, people have been developing new technology to make their life easier. Nowadays, there are more and more new electronic devices used to improve our life, such as LCD televisions, mobile phones, computers, etc. With the advent of the internet, computers help us communicate with other people more easily. They no longer need to wait for a long time for responses. Also, with the improvement of both the hardware and software, computers help us process documents and solve problems more efficiently. For instance, businesses and entertainments use them to make profits; educators use them to help educate students better and the medical field uses computers in many different ways to improve their services. Therefore, the computers play a vital role in modern life. Actually, we have no alternative but to be more and more dependent on computers in present days. On the other hand, there are also some dangerous threats within computers. As a result, we should be more suspicious of this high-tech invention.
When it comes to the computer, it has become popular since 1970s. It is an indispensable tool which has changed us a lot in our daily life. Nowadays, almost everyone has one or even more than two computers. With the computers, through the internet, we can connect with people in just a few seconds. Moreover, we can browse the items and products we have interests in on the websites, such as eBay and Amazon. Thanks to the improvement of computers, now we can process our files or make a presentation very fast. Scientists and mathematicians calculate the scientific problems. Furthermore, E-commerce is becoming unbelievable prosperous. In addition to books from the libraries, students can even surf the e-library to read e-books. With computers, it means we can enjoy the convenience of not only computers but also the life. As a matter of fact, the computers have been growing sharply nowadays. Hence, we cannot ignore the new trend of our life.
Computers can be our angels to help us, but they can also be horrible evils for human beings. On one hand, they can help us gather information and share our ideas promptly. They can also improve our life and fuse different cultures together. However, it can be dangerous. On the other hand, if it is used in the wrong way, people without conscience can cheat others through the new technology of the present day. The most important thing of all is that using computers has become an important trend that we cannot avoid. If the computers can be used in a right way, they really help us improve our life and make our life more conveniently.
In conclusion, computers have been changing our life a lot. The people of present days should pursue more professional knowledge and skills, not just indulging themselves in the video games, Happy Farm and MSN. We have to be open-minded and accept new things in our life. Without the computers’ help, none of these would be possible. The whole world would be a dull and primitive place. There would be no convenient for life. And nobody is able to ignore the trend by this remarkable device in our life. The only things we can do it to have more awareness of computers with correct concepts concerning how to use them properly and legally.
